Our History
The Commercial Hotel was first owned by Mr and Mrs M Dalton. They bought the Teske's Boarding House and converted it into the hotel which opened in 1908. It was burnt down on Anzac Day 1926 and rebuilt in timber in the style it retains today. Known as the Toogoolawah Hotel since 2001 it is owned by Spencer H Trading Group and continues to operate as a hotel and restaurant as well as providing accommodation to the travelling public.
Known for our big meals, impressive Australian art collection, and comfortable accommodation, we aim to deliver a wholesome small town experience.
